Today, Mr. Sadrakh checked the challange. It seems that the people that accepted the challange could not play the c major scale if they can, they could've gotten a better score. I need to practice more. My notes have too much difference so I think I'll edit them.

Today Mr. Sadrakh called on us to test our melody. He called Kevin A. First. He said that he could not play his melody so Mr. Sadrakh got mad at him. Then he called on me. I also could not play my melody. Then Mr. Sadrakh also called on Nathan and Andrew. He told us to play the scale all the 3 of us can. At the very least, I can still play the scale. I think I ust need to practice some more.

Today, Mr. Sadrakh tested us about our music melody. Some of us could not do it so some of them got challanges from Mr. Sadrakh (Means that they switch instruments for 1 week).

  Today, we did the music melody pratice. Some of us didn't do it because we don't have time. Mr. Sadrakh called me but I can't do it because I don't practice yet.

Today, I had finished the melody. I thought my last part was kind of weird so I've changed it. Soon, Mr. Sadrakh checked our reflection. I didn't write it in the learning journal and sometimes I forgot to update the blog so I got -2.

Today, we did our Asian music test. I had spent my whole night studying that. Then, at this day, Mr Sadrakh said that we can use our books. I was thinking that I studied for nothing. Now that I think the second time, I think it wasn't such a waste because I gain knowledge. I was sure of my answers in numbers one and three because I fully covered the lines. As for numbers two and four, I don't think I will get a full mark because I cover only half of all the lines given.

Today, Mr. Sadrakh gave us a task. He told us to make a melody minimum 16 bars. I was nervous when he mentioned that we had to make a melody because i am bad at making melodies. I was struggling to think of one right now. I think I will do some research for tips to make a melody.

Today, we learnt about the melody of the scales. Mr. Sadrakh told us about our scores. I was very disappointed  about my written test score. I failed the test. I got 4.5/20. For the other scores, I got 7.5/10 for the Asian singing. I got 7/8 for the booklet that I made.

Today, we redo the music assessment. At first, we got 6, now we got 6 point something, that is quite an improvement. Before the presentation, we checked Alyssa M's e-mail, then we checked it, there is a video. Then we start the presentation with the video and we got a higher score all thanks to the video.

Today, we do the powerpoint presentation for real. We have the information but not video or pictures. There is a possibility that Brian C. Sent the video to Alyssa M.'s e-mail because i asked Brian C. for a few times and he said that he had sent it but we didn't bother to check it out. We were struggling to answer a question, I think it might have affected our scores.

Today, I practiced the presentation on the Indian Music Instruments. I understood most of the parts in the presentation because I found it out in my individual report research. There are some instruments that are not present on my report. I wish to add them but too bad I already submitted it.

Today, I sang the Shri ram jai ram song. It was quite easy. My partner was Brian C. He did great, he's better tan me, I just need some more improvements on singing louder. When it's Mourezky's turn, He sang loud and clear, he was better than any of us. I was thinking that he would get at least 9, but he got 9.5 instead! That kind of inspired me to do the best I can next time.

Today, I did the written test. I hoped I passed but I skipped a lot of numbers. I understood writing the notes, making the #'s, the flats, the triots but I don't get two things. The inversions. I don't really get it so I only did the C major scale inversion. I don't get the rest. I really should research more about inversions because I don't get it at all.

Today, I understood about the triots. I actually dont understand at all at first but after Mr. Sadrakh kept on explaining a lot of times, I finally understood. I found out that there was a relationship. They are all conneted to the natural scale: "C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C."

   Today, I learned about the flat scales. At first, I don't really understand it at first but when it was explained the second time, I sort of get it now. Now, I started researching about the flat scales but I don't get it. So, I think it's easier to learn from the teacher than From internet.

  Today, Mr. Harry had divided us into 4 groups:
-Japan
-India
-China
-Korea
  I was in the Indian Group. Mr. Sadrakh chose Brian C. as the captain but I don't know why. I think it's just the same reason as why he chose Inka as the Violin group Captain.

    Today, I presented my song called "potong bebek angsa." I was quite nervous about it. I can usually memorize the song so I did it without the lyrics. On the middle of the way, I screwed up so Mr. Sadrakh told me to stop so I did.I was actually thinking that I was going to fail th   music assessment but Mr. Sadrakh gave some of us a chance. I tried it again with the lyrics and I got 8/10. I was pretty impressed with my scores. Next time, I will memorize  a song so I can get a higher score.

      Today, Mr. Sadrakh told me to perform  the potong bebek angsa song. I can't do it very well so Mr. Sadrakh told me to stop. He says a I didn't practice. Now I had practice for at least 30 minutes per day ever since. Now, I could do it quite well but I still have to read the lyrics for it. My goal for now is to remember potong bebek angsa without looking at the book. If it's not possible, I'll just try my best to do it with the lyrics.

       Today, Mr. Sadrakh told us our scores for singing and presenting work. I got 7/10 for the singing and I got 7/8 for my presentation. I was happy for my presenting score but not so much for the singing. The music instrument assessment is coming up, I chose "Potong Bebek Angsa" for my song. Mr. John  showed us the "Tabs" for Potong Bebek Angsa. I thought it was the normal one but it's actually the high tune one. I think it's okay for me to play the high tune one because that's the only one that was written on the board.Now, I have to practice often so I won't fail the test.

   Today, I presented my music project. with my group members. I was quite nervous at that time. Usually, I am nervous because it comes to me naturally, but this time, I am nervous because I am not very satisfied with the powerpoint presentation. Good thing my group was able to present properly because I was quite worried , not about he powerpoint presentation but about how we present it. If we get to work together again, I will try to get the powerpoint job and make the powerpoint better.

Today, Mr. Sadrakh told us to present about our group's progress and the members jobs. Our captain, Andrew was absent and my Vice captain too so I feel kind of awkward presenting in front of my classmates. I discussed with Mourezky and Brian that I will make an emergency powerpoint presentation just in case that Andrew was absent. For some reason, it's very, very, very, rare for both Captains and Vice captains to be late at the same time. Next time, I will try to contact them for some information on the time when they will be absent or not because if that are absent and we are told to present about our group's progress, it will be hard to explain about the Captain and the Vice captain's jobs because they are the one who knows all of our jobs and some of us don't know their's since there are one or two students who talks in front.

 Today we reviewed the project given from Mr. Sadrakh. Our group can explain because all of us except Nathan, went to Angie's house to research about the similarities and differences of the instruments in Sumatra and Java. Our group was able to come up with a powerpoint presentation which shows the similarities and differences between Sumatra and Java. Next time, I will try to improve my group's current status to make it better than usual.

I learned about making a blog. I was late, in fact, everyone was.I don't like being late because Mr. Sadrakh will get mad at us. I was told only to make three sentences but I will try to do more so that my personal engagement score will be higher and so is my GPA.Next time, I will try not to be late so we have a balance time for both Music theory and the instrument class.

Today we reviewed the natural scale or the C major scale, I sharp, II sharp, III sharp. i can easily remember I sharp and III sharp but not the rest. It was hard to remember the three sharp at first but I can sort of remember it now. I will try to remember more of them so my knowledge and understanding score will be higher. So, next time I will try to remember most of the scales that were taught.

 Today we didn't do much. I passed the assessment so i don't have to redo. Most people like Mourezky had a passing score but still wants to redo to get a better score. I didn't redo because I have a score of 7.5. That score is good enough because I was taught by Mr. Loyd that I just have to pass in everything to pass the grade level. Next time, I will try to get a good mark so I would have a lower chance to stay on the same grade level.

 Today, I was taught about the G major scale. I can do it well, I memorized it, it contains G,A,B,C,D,E,F#,G. I had no problems with C major scale/natural scale. If I was called to tel Mr. Sadrakh to say out the Natural scale without reading, I can do it quickly.Next time, i will try to understand most of the scales to have a better score in my Knowledge and understanding criteria.

      Today I learned about the C major scales. I understood it well and I had memorized it. Next time I wish to learn more about the major scales.
